和道流空手道連盟 第3回神奈川県大会が6月7日(日)に横浜武道館で開催されました。
述べ345名が出場した今大会に、当学院の和道流成武チームの18名と、姉妹道場の百合ヶ丘空手道クラブチームの8名が出場しました。
結果は、金メダル×2個、銀メダル×4個、銅メダル×7個、敢闘賞×3名を獲得しました。
A wonderful tournament to nurture the healthy mind, body, and spirit of children!
On Sunday, June 7th, the 3rd Kanagawa Prefecture Tournament of the Wado-ryu Karate-do Renmei was held at the Yokohama Budokan.
A total of 345 participants took part in this tournament, with 18 members from my institute’s Wado-ryu Seibu team and 8 members from my sister dojo, Yurigaoka Karate-do Club team, competing.
The results were: 2 gold medals, 4 silver medals, 7 bronze medals, and 3 Fighting Spirit Awards.

審判を務めた東明先生、選手たちの最終調整と監督を務めた心之助先生、大会係員、選手の引率、撮影係りを務めて頂いた保護者の皆様、大会成功のためにご尽力頂き誠にありがとうございました。
中学2年生の生徒は形競技と組手試合共に決勝に残り、敗れはしましたが準優勝を収めました。勝敗よりも彼の心技体が向上したことを喜んでいる私に、嬉しそうに話しかけて来ました。彼が3年間ライバル視している大会連覇者が競技後に声をかけて来て「一緒に写真を撮ろうよ」と誘ってくれたそうです。私の生徒は私と同じく「競技を通じて心を通わせ仲良くなること」も課題の一つにして大会に出場し続けており、彼自身が望む体験を出来たことは、私も嬉しく思っております。
My son, now in his 2nd glade of junior high school, reached the finals in both the kata and kumite divisions, and although he lost, he secured 2nd place. More than the wins and losses, I was happy to see the improvement in his mind, technique, and physical condition, and my son happily told me about it. He said that the tournament champion, whom he had considered his rival for the past three years, had approached him after the competition and asked him to take a picture together. Like me, my son has continued to participate in tournaments with the goal of “connecting with others and becoming friends through the competes,” and I am happy that he was able to have the experience he wanted.
