総本部道場がある西武池袋線 石神井公園駅まで電車に乗車する時間が55分あるので、その間2015年２月19日にNHK BS1で放映された『手 Tee 〜沖縄空手 本当の強さ〜』を観ながら向かいました。
観終わってフッと抱いたのは、「まだわずか41年の人生だが何か変わっただろうか。」
空手道を始めた動機と続ける理由が、31年前に始めた当初から変わっていないこと。
「殺されたくないし、誰も殺したくない。大切な人・大切なものを守りたい。」、「本物の人間になる。」
胸に響くのは、師匠が遺してくれた言葉「空手は愛の道」。
人生の意味を見出す機会を与えてくれた空手道と師匠の恩に報いるために私がすべきことを明日も全力で。
